This was a cool opportunity for me to experience the wilderness and to make some new friends from Split Lake, technically the Tataskweyak Cree Nation. The Anglican Dioceses of Keewatin, of which Split Lake is a part of, organized the event and there were about 25-30 participants. There would have been more from farther away, were it not for the H1N1 flu scare.
I was asked to document and record the trip for publicity reasons, to promote the trip across Canada and beyond. This first video is a report to the Anglican Healing Fund, and I will be editing another one to be used as a promotional tool.
