I really enjoy being part of the Winnipeg Photo Club led by Dan Harper. His generosity and energy has developed a wonderful community of photography aficionados. Recently Dan led a workshop on Studio Lighting and participants had an opportunity to work with the studio lights and professional models. As a way of motivating "best practices" Dan offered a photography book to the three best shots submitted. My shot of Kelly, using window light only, was one of the winners. Winning Photograph

I thought that the pale colours in these two pictures worked very subtly and very well together. I might have had your son wear a more pastel colour rather than black, but then again, maybe black works just as well.
